Thank you Jessica! As a novice astrology student and gay man I have scoured the astro blogs and web sites for some mention of how the influence of the stars is being reflected in the LGBT community now, especially with regard to same sex marriage. Yours is the only site! Thank you!
Francis

Many of the unfair and untrue things "they" told us we need to have and to do and to think in order to be considered legitimate human beings is breaking down. It's truly a wonderful thing. It's a whole new world of freedom for those willing to be responsible to actual reality.

I'd like to add that many public-funded programs such as higher education are also under the ax. Although the intent of universities was to educate (or perhaps "preserve the status quo"), the structures are very much top-down and patriarchical. I'll be very curious to see what may happen to this system with Pluto in Capricorn.

Kindest Regards!

Wow, Jessica, I sure do wish your musings, put into words, were mainstream fodder.......maybe like those tickers underneath the babblings of coiffed and corporate whores normally called 'anchors'.

This is wisdom in it's finest form.

I have "married" three times ( without the wedding gown and circus show ) and clearly remember laughing my way through the nuptuals because the wording was absolutely absurd. I knew that I was most certainly NOT going to uphold those demands.

In 1994 I was about the only 30ish female I know married to a man 10 years her junior. Again, I find myself in another marriage that breaks stereotype(and yet they have found a way to stereotype older women who marry a younger partner by calling them "cougars")which seems offensive to others.

I have allowed my hair to return to it's natural state (gray) while my partner is allowed the freedom to express who he feels he is at this point in time. I celebrate his youth while simultaneously celebrating this new and exciting chapter in my personal journey.

I've had many a debate with my very churchy sister who believes that homosexuality is an "abomination" and that same sex marriages are destructive to the patriarcal system of cohabitation.

I think, Au Contraire! These beings are the bringers of light and pioneers of an evolutionary leap of faith! They are the ones pushing us out of our comfort zones for our personal advancement.

I celebrate the union of two souls who genuinely care and love each other no matter the vehicle they have chosen to "drive" this time around.

I believe that it will be the ( and is currently yet we are not aware of this ) 11th house that will define true, sacred and loving friendship/partnerships in the age of Aquarius.

Peace be with us...........

Dear AnonniMouse,
These two posts are like the air on a sweet Spring day. There really is hope for post-patriarchal union. As you suggest, Anon, we already have the ancient mystical idea of hierogamos -- the original "sacred marriage" -- as a model.
Jessica

Hi Jessica,

You speak the truth in this article about traditional ideas of marriage and notions of property being the basis of our patriarchal system. It is so deeply rooted in the collective consciousness, that only a planet like Pluto can bring it to the surface.

Instead of marriage itself (whether homosexual or heterosexual), I envision the world moving to the concept of "Sacred Union," where each partner honors each others' individuality and shares their support and love. No notions or "property."

I'm heterosexual, but I support same-sex sacred unions, and I commend these couples for the incredible courage they have in showing us that love and union is not restricted to our traditional notions. They have shaken up society's ideas about power and love in relationships and it is all for the good.

Joseph, congratulations to you and Michael!

Thank you again, Jessica. My partner of ten years, Michael, and I were married in Los Angeles on September 14, 2008 (my birthday).

When Michael, thirty years my junior, proposed to me, I told him I had to think it over! We resist marches, Pride displays, write-in campaigns, and any other public declaration of our sexual preference because we do not consider who we are to be an issue to be debated...or legislated around.

Still, we married because we felt strongly that we should support the idea that we deserve to embrace the archetype of union and integration within the culture's present structure for solemnizing relationship.

We have been happily married for seven months -- it has added depth and richness to our life together.

Jessica, there IS a Santa Claus.

Joseph in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico

Still, we married because we felt strongly that we should support the idea that we deserve to embrace the archetype of union and integration within the culture’s present structure for solemnizing relationship.

We have been happily married for seven months — it has added depth and richness to our life together.
