I think we're seeing a shift in the wind among hypnotized Obamaphiles. His backpedaling lately has become so blatant that the American Left is having to come to grips with the fact that, on a policy level, not much has changed since the election (see June Skywatch).

I think that the Cultural Shift will be far greater we now can immagine. We remain too closed inside XXth Century perspectives which proved to be wrong…

What I see as the biggest underlying issue is theft. We are paying more and more and getting less and less in return. The people who are refusing to pay more aren't any more wrong than those who are crying about public services being cut. The entire system is corrupt and if we give them more money to bail it out again, they will continue to steal it. If they can't steal it thru taxation, they steal it from what are supposed to be the financial and health systems that safeguard us. I really think the answer is withdrawal. Not a dropping out in the 60's sense, but a getting out of the system and a reallocation of our finances and energy to our own local sphere. That means quit relying on the government to solve the problem for us. If we quit that we can also quit blaming them.

I don't think raising taxes is the answer. We already pay some of the highest taxes in the entire country and I haven't seen what we're getting out of it. As you point out, some of the things being cut are essential, which is the bigger issue to me.

Love your take on CA state of affairs. There's a Dr. Turi
(cosmic consciousness practicioner)
who has said that America has had the tail of the dragon in Pluto since 12/2007. This is what is causing the cleansing of all America's corrupt systems. Dr. Turi has said that Pluto leaves the USA's chart in August '09 -- that things will change for the better once some spectacular transformations happen
to our Fed and State Government corrupt systems. Do you agree
that August is the turning point?

Thank you Jessica for addressing the issues that it seems no one wants to look at. The "Obama Illusion" has fed right into the hypnotic state of the masses; we got him elected so now we can go back to sleep. Maybe if people started smoking more marijuana instead of taking the happy soma pills passed out by the doctors they could actually wake up and real change could happen. Keep on writing! Yeshe
