If not entirely let go of them, let go the hold of their expectations and viewpoints as governing factors in our lives. I realized it was their expectations that in some subtle ways I was afraid of offending their sensibilities... Waiting for them to get on board but that might not happen ever. In the meantime, I need to get on with it. The train is leaving the station.. A lot of subconscious material came to light and then was dissolved recently, although it's an ongoing process.
