I, too, have observed the significance of the water aspect to the spill. In shamanic terms, water is the ultimate feminine power, the place of birth, the cleansing (transmuting) of wounds and fever (fire), the place of solace and balance in and on the Earth Mother. Grandmother taught me the importance of water in healing, and of a woman’s need for contact with it in sacred ways. The spill’s assault, then, carries a terrible consequence for the sacred feminine aspect of the Gulf region and of our beautiful planet.

But I also see an equal assault on our air (Father Sky) and our very lives resulting from our obsessive demand for and use of oil, which forces the need to drill for more and more of it in increasingly dangerous places. In effect then, we have choices to make, and must make them soon, else we smother the parents and the children (us) alike.

The Grand Square, as you have taught me, presents us with such an opportunity to choose. And as with all things, making a choice, making a change, begins inside each of us. So, who is willing to be the first to cut back on oil use?

Thank you Jessica, and other responders, for this is a strong impetus to broader awakening and compassion.

The purpose in this is, and it is by design in service to another plutonian agenda flowing out right along with that gunk in the ocean, to continue to imprint on the american mind and hypnotize the american public into the idea of the “goodness” of the continued militarization of our country. The most useful way to do this is to persuade the american public that these two-dimensional creatures in uniform are here to “help” us and keep us “safe and secure,” from threats of all kinds. (The implication in the speech is now nature is the “enemy” to be controlled and contained).

There is, however, no possibility for democracy, nor justice, nor freedom of speech when one of the parties involved always has a gun cocked, no matter how wide the smile or sincere the assurances are that the one with the firearm is here to “help.”

This is, indeed, pandora’s well, and the underlying meanings and treasures contained therein, which can lead to our freedoms or to an ever-increasing agenda for locking down the creative mind, are worth dredging.

I agree wholeheartedly with your statement – let those tar balls wash up on our beaches. Let the language of lies and deceit hit us our brains with the truth so we can find our higher mind.

I have always admired your stance that we need to reclaim our language and uncover the lies hidden within the languageing the media presents. You know, like “food insecure” actually means starving. It is time to let these realities hit us in the guts and emerge with a compassionate connection to our own and other’s humanity.
